Horse Riding Camps

Our Horse Riding camp is perfect for those who have a love for horses. Suitable for both beginners and more advanced riders, these camps focus on improving your riding and stable management skills, including how to safely handle a horse, securely tying up, leading, grooming, tacking up and feeding.

What to expect

At the beginning of the camp, our riding instructors will assess your riding experience and skills before delivering a structured course to develop your skills. The course will cover not only stable management, but also an introduction to more complex equestrian disciplines such as show jumping and dressage.

The equestrian centre is located across the road from Camp Culford, so when you are not at the stables, your accommodation, meal times, english lessons and evening entertainment are only a short walk away – and when you are not at camp, you’ll be out exploring and sightseeing on one of your three city excursions.

Why you should book

If you love horses and are looking for an unforgettable experience this summer, then this is the perfect opportunity to spend 2-weeks hands-on at the stables, meeting new friends from all over the world and a chance to improve on your English language skills.

After initially working on basic riding positions such as walk, trot and canter, the camp will progress, by learning the basics of both dressage and show jumping disciplines.  More advanced riders will be able to improve and learn lateral movements on the horse, whilst beginner riders will learn to reach a comfortable riding standard.

Our Pony Club qualified riding instructors use riding games to help develop skills and have fun with the horses and at the end of the 2-weeks, you will have the opportunity to show off your new skills with a ‘Dressage and Show Jumping competition’ where rosettes will be awarded. All riding equipment will be provided, although riders are welcome to bring their own specific protective riding clothing such as jodhpurs and boots.
